The City of Charleston Peninsula Recreation Department youth sports program has exploded in the last few years–the U6 micro soccer league has gone from 6 teams to 16 teams in 6 years. The City needs a comprehensive recreation facility for all these little athletes!

Charleston County Parks just took possession of the old Baker Hospital property south of Cosgrove. This might be a good option for some sports fields among other uses. This is the article in the Post & Courier. http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150210/PC16/150219933
